SC6 which is part of the National Survey Contract will be
starting on site on July 2nd with Control being set
up. The Survey work will be carried out between July and
November by CCS Surveyors.
It is likely that the following areas will be surveyed from July
onwards with most of them complete by August however this is
weather permitting.
Gauging Stations - Claremont, Oughterard, Ballyhaunis,
Tuam, Corrofin, Claregalway and Gort.
Reaches in the following AFA's = Oughterard, Claregalway,
Ballyhaunis, Tuam, Corrofin, Athenry, Loughrea, Clifden, and
Gort.
Other areas which are part of this contract but will be done in
Aug/Sept/Oct are :
Galway City, Oranmore, Newport, Westport, Castlebar, Foxford,
Swinford, Charlestown, Gorteen, Ballymoate, Riverstown, Coolaney,
Rathbraghan.
The 1st of 2 survey Contracts which are part of the
Western CFRAM contract will be starting on site on Wednesday,
commenceing with installation of Control. This contract is
being carried out by Maltby Surveyors. They are going to be
doing Gauging Stations and it will all be completed over the next
10 weeks. The areas they will be working in is as follows:
Coolloughra, Ballycarroon, Billa Bridge, Ballygrania,
Manorhamilton, Sligo, Ballina, Ballysadare, Louisburgh.
All surveyors working on site will have letters of introduction
with them at all times and their ID. These can be provided to
members of the public at any time on request.
There is information on the letter giving contact details for
JBA and the OPW. They also have details of their insurance
with them available for inspection.
